Manila2D Update 22 (1911) all-in-one installer for VGA devices

This cab will install M2D on a VGA device

This installer includes: Manila2D version 1911 (patched by xplode), Footprints (by KDKobes), Audiomanager (1911 version with the executables from 1819), MHubVo codec files, lots of fixes for VGA version (by various authors).

This installer does not include: HTC Album, Youtube, Google Maps, Opera, lots of other thing you might need for non-Raphael phones

I only tested this installer on a HTC Touch Pro. I tried to only add packages that are missing from the Raphael, while keeping other files that are included.

If you want to install this on a device other than Raphael (or Diamond), then first install all the other requirements that might be missing (like HTC Album, youtube, etc.)

This installer still has a lot of issues. I currently found the following:

Apart from the errors, M2D runs fine, maybe even fine for everyday use. It eats a lot of memory though, but imho it's more usable than TF3D

Setup guide

  1. Hard reset (might not be nescessary, but you need at least 40MB of storage memory)
  2. Disable everything on the today screen
  3. Install Manila2D all-in-one.cab
  4. DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
  5. DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
  6. DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
  7. Set the theme and background (optional)
  8. Soft reset (might be optional, but advised)
  9. Enable Touchflo on the today screen
  10. Enjoy (optional)

For ROM cookers

Check the following section

Manila2D Install Creator

As usual to my M2DAIO releases, M2D for VGA is packed with an Install creator too. This package is simply an extracted version of the cab, where you might add some more changes (like add another skin). The M2D directory in the install creator is a standard OEM package, so you might use it for ROM cooking too!

Usage:

  1. Download the package
  2. Extract it to a directory
  3. Edit the content of the M2D Directory
  4. Run Create_Manila2D_installer.bat
  5. If everything goes well you'll get a setup.cab. Copy to your device and install. See the previous guide if unsure
  6. Enjoy
